Porterhouse Whole (Sirloin)



Cooking a whole piece of porterhouse, or sirloin as it’s known, is delicious. Either in the oven or on the BBQ.  Available as 1kg or 2kg piece.

Season meat with salt and pepper and brown all over in a hot, lightly oiled pan. Transfer meat to a baking tray.  Preheat oven to 220C and roast beef to your liking. 20-25 minutes for medium rare for a 1kg whole piece and 35-40 minutes for medium rare for a 2kg piece. Take from oven, cover and rest for at least 10 minutes before carving into slices.
